Saying the legal words in
front of witnesses is what officially seals the deal of marriage!

The signing is merely a documentation of the event.

When should we book our Celebrant?

As soon as you’ve nailed down your wedding date and locked in your venue, it’s time to book your Celebrant. The sooner, the better!

How do we secure you as our celebrant?

To save your date, time and location I require a non-refundable booking fee. The balance of the fee is due 6 weeks prior to your wedding day.

What is the first step after locking you in?

Once you’ve locked me in as your Celebrant, the first step is to meet up (either in person or online) and get the ball rolling by completing the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM). We’ll also chat about all the fun stuff for your ceremony – your vibe, ideas, and how to make it uniquely yours!

Just a heads up: the NOIM needs to be lodged with me at least one month before your wedding date. So, let’s get that sorted nice and early!

How many meetings do we need to have?

For a fully bespoke ceremony, we usually meet 2-3 times before the wedding day. For a legals only ceremony, we meet once online and then again on your wedding day.

How long does a ceremony go for?

On average a wedding ceremony takes around 20 – 30 minutes, however this varies depending on ceremony elements such as family involvement, length of vows etc. I don’t do yawn worthy ceremonies. Legals only ceremonies take 3-5 minutes.

Do we need to write our own vows?

No pressure to write your own vows – totally optional! But if you’re keen to add a personal touch, I’ve got a bunch of vow examples you can choose from, or I can help you craft something from scratch. Your call!

Do you know any amazing vendors that can help with our wedding day?

I sure do. Having been a Celebrant for a good while now, I know heaps of top notch vendors that can help make your day amazing. Just ask.

What happens if you are sick and can’t do our ceremony?

In 15 years as a Celebrant, it’s only happened once, but rest assured, you’re in safe hands. This is my full-time gig, and I have a trusted network of amazing Celebrants I can call on to step in and deliver your ceremony just as planned.

What type of ceremonies do you do?

Maybe you’re dreaming of a wedding straight out of Vogue - glam, gorgeous, and full of wow-factor. I’m in!

Or perhaps your style is a little more laid-back - saying I do at your favourite restaurant, glass of bubbles in hand, surrounded by your closest crew. Sounds perfect to me.

Hot air balloon? Cave ceremony? (Yep, done that one!) Wherever your imagination takes you, I’m mostly game.

And if you happen to shout me a flight and a night or two of accom, I’ll follow you just about anywhere… I’ve got a soft spot for tropical islands, just quietly.

I can legally marry you anywhere in Australia - or, if your dream celebration is overseas, we can handle the legalities here first and then take the party global.

Do we have to mention ‘God’ stuff?

Nope! Not at all. I’m a Civil Marriage Celebrant, so your ceremony is all about marriage law and celebrating your love story. However, if you’d like to include an element from your faith, I’m totally on board and happy to make it fit beautifully into your day.
